Confluence - The Big Map
In 2015 iDeA Architects started an arts led regeneration project called Confluence, in partnership with spacetocreate, Transition Haverfordest, Planed and PCC.
One of the early contributions was hosting the Big Map workshops, which took place over an eight-week period between August 16th and October 7th. The workshop series built on an earlier pilot of the Big Map, which took place during the launch of the LAB during Whitsun.
The Big Map workshops gave people in Haverfordwest the opportunity to engage in an experimental mapping of the town’s riverside to share their ideas, hopes and aspirations for the town.
Ordinary people who live, work, learn, visit and play in Haverfordwest were invited to step into the space traditionally reserved for planners and urbanists and to engage in a playful and imaginative way with the planning process.
Coronation Hall, Dale, Pembs.
Dale Village Hall has been transformed by a recent renovation and extension by iDeA Architects. Improvements include a new kitchen and meeting room, accessible washroom facilities, a new fully insulated roof with rooflights, and a glazed entrance lobby.
Generous storage has been added alongside the main hall, which is now a light and airy space following the removal of the old suspended ceiling. The hall is much in demand as a venue for exhibitions by local artists and craftmakers, and the extended stage facilities including a platform lift will be well used for productions by the Dale Amateur Drama Society and local schools
Quaker Friends' Meeting Hall, Milford Haven
Completed in 2006, this extension was commissioned to provide new seminar, kitchen and wc facilities, all with disabled access, on a very tight site. The new addition is set back to respect the existing listed Meeting House, and to balance an existing classroom extension on the opposite side, built in the 1970's. The rear of the seminar room is a fully glazed feature wall, which is cantilevered over the burial ground, to take full advantage of the garden view.

Bwlch Nant yr Arian visitor centre
Commissioned by The Forestry Commission and opened in 2005, this building provides educational, leisure and sports facilities for visitors to Nant yr Arian forest. Sustainable design and eco-technologies were paaramount as the brief called for an 'exemplar geen building'. These are fully integrated into the design and include the following:
• Composting toilets
• Biomass boiler
• Green sedum roof
• Timber structure & insulated wall panels
• Breathing wall construction
• Locally sourced timber cladding
